We had to make it exciting again, but it doesn't matter now! Our CS:GO team has qualified for the Regional Major Rankings in Bucharest in the fourth and last Open Qualifier.
“We did approach this qualifier differently than the three previous ones,” explains our manager Bornebusch. “We have focused more on the team spirit a bit more.” After many smaller teams, the first real challenge was waiting in the Round of 32 with Movistar Riders. On Vertigo we already looked good on the T-Side (9:6) - but on the CT-Side we didn't give up any more rounds and advanced confidently to the Round of 16. There we gave MONKEsports on Vertigo little chance (16:7).
The all-important match against SKADE followed. After winning on Inferno (16:14), we had a slight setback on Mirage (12:16). But this did not worry our manager: I had such a good feeling about the whole qualifier, to be honest. It just felt right. Our mental was at the right place at the right time.” And he was right: we not only won the decider on Nuke (16:13), which at the same time secured us a place for Bucharest, we also won the semifinals against Sangai Esports (16:8) and the final against Fnatic (16:13).
“This is a dream come true for all of us. The pressure we had to qualify for this event is indescribable, especially as it was the last qualifier of the entire Europe RMR. We are relieved indeed,” our manager is pleased.
But there is not much time to celebrate. Today our team has to play against eSuba in the Pinnacle Winter Series #3. Bornebusch on this: “Laying these underdog teams that in the end managed to reach the swiss main stage is always a bit scary, But us going 2-0 should not be a problem.”
